Our collection is highly curated and connects our clients to maintenance and restoration services to ensure vintage pieces are looked after and maintained for many more years to come.
What is Effe Preloved?
Effe Preloved pieces are sold in their original vintage condition. Some show signs of wear, others are closer to excellent - this collection is highly curated and contains pieces that have been sourced or consigned.
What is Effe x Evans Leather Repair?
Effe x Evans Leather Repair is a curated collection that brings together Effe Designer Resale and Evans Leather Repair — my family’s leather workshop, established in Melbourne in the 1950s in the Royal Arcade, Melbourne.
Each piece has been carefully restored prior to being listed, with work carried out by specialists at Evans Leather using traditional techniques. The extent of restoration can vary; from subtle touch-ups to more involved structural or cosmetic work - always with the intention of preserving the integrity of the original design.
All restored pieces come waterproofed.

Approach to restoration
The goal is give these pieces a reset to ensure they are back on the resale market in better condition than we found them.
Often it’s about taking a piece that has great bones - but maybe has scuffed corners, scratches, or signs of wear and bringing it back to excellent condition so it gets it's sparkle back.
In some cases, it’s also about improving longevity. That might mean reinforcing structure, or improving materials where needed - for example, replacing worn or synthetic linings with leather.
Everything is done with consideration to the original design, materials, and era of the bag. The intention is always to enhance, not to change. In line with the Evans Leather ethos, restoration services are designed to honour the integrity of piece and maintains it's original design.
Repairing a Preloved bag after purchase
We offer Preloved pieces that come in their original vintage condition for the vintage lovers out there! We know some of you prefer vintage that carries it's story.
Preloved pieces can also be restored after purchase. Some clients prefer to source a bag in its original condition and undertake restoration later - we aim to make this process seamless.
